A Northwest Pennsylvania native, Ty grew up chasing northern smallmouth and largemouth bass around clear water lakes and rivers. He spent his childhood and college years traveling his local waters, perfecting and learning all things bass. Roughly six years ago he moved to Western North Carolina to pursue a guiding career with Headwaters Outfitters in Rosman, NC. During college he obtained a U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License to share his passion for bass fishing through guiding on lakes in North Carolina as well as South Carolina.

This seminar is going to break down a few simple techniques and approaches to catching more bass when starting out. Whether you fish a pond, a lake from shore, or from a boat on a body of water. Come learn everything from setting up a new spinning rod to get the most out of it, to the best baits and tackle for beginner success.

How to Locate Bass on Blueback Herring Lakes

Chasing bass on a lake full of blueback herring can often feel like chasing a ghost. Many lakes in the southeastern part of the country are populated by these baitfish, something many anglers can struggle to understand. This seminar will teach you approaches to breaking down your lake to better locate bass feeding on these baitfish during different parts of the year, and different weather conditions. We will also briefly cover the tackle and lures best suited for catching these picky bass.
