About Lowell Eckart

Lowell Eckart is the Southeast Program Manager for Tread Lightly!, a national nonprofit that works closely with the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Park Service, State Parks and other public land managers to educate and train motorized recreation users on responsible off-road principles that help to keep trails, campgrounds and public lands open.  In 2023, Tread Lightly! executed 271 projects nationwide that repaired 2352 miles of trails, installed 641 education kiosk signs and removed 241,000 lbs of trash off of public lands.
