Cesar Salas, originally from Durango, Mexico, relocated to Greenville, SC, in 2001. Fascinated by yoga from a young age, Cesar pursued & became a Certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) graduate in 2017.

As he delved deeper into the transformative benefits of yoga, he noticed a growing number of studios emerging. Driven by his Mexican heritage and desire to share the incredible benefits of yoga with those who might not have access to it, he founded Buena Vida Yoga in 2020. This donation-based initiative offered Spanish-led yoga sessions, fostering inclusivity for underserved and underrepresented community members.

Through teaching various yoga styles in many different locations, Cesar identified his unique approach, which he likes to call “encouraging movement.” His classes are challenging yet accessible for all levels, aiming to cultivate a sense of belonging, fostering community, and promote mindfulness among those who practice. In his journey, Cesar discovered his purpose which is: to empower individuals through yoga, bridging cultural divides and promoting well-being for all.
